University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF)

University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj (UASF) is a newly established institution of higher education in Kosovo with a mission to develop cooperative activity with local partners and those external (European Universities of Applied Sciences, etc.) through the mobilization of students and teachers by involving them in the development process of the university and their contribution towards the use of internal resources (human and material), by way of connecting local economic needs (of the regional and wider) with the permanent growth of quality in learning.

UASF has modest experience with International projects. The strongest cooperation that the university has is with the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg and the Staffordshire University in the UK. University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg, and Faculty of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, as the University of Applied Sciences’s predecessor, has implemented an international projects, as a result of which a program was reformed, and was also organized the first international conference of Wood Products, Bioenergy and the Environment, in September 2010. Cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg went on and as a result of it, the two institutions have continued the implementation of a new project in 2012, which was subsequently completed in 2015.

UASF, is also part of e Erasmus+ project Titled “EUFORIA (Entrepreneurial Universities for Industry Alliances)” with a large number of partner institution, from EU as well as local, which is led by Staffordshire University. This is a three year project which is due to start in early 2016. UASF currently has 1600 students in its four bachelor programmes and one master programme.
